They’ll be performing some of their most well loved tracks such as ‘Re-wind’ one of the most notable tracks behind Craig David’s huge success. Plus the iconic dance track ‘Turn Around’ will no doubt be featured, bringing the summer vibes to life.

Also in their line up, is rising star Jess Kemp. At only 24 years old, Jess is somewhat of a veteran in the Manchester music scene. She has been performing for seven years and has already received critical acclaim from BBC Radio 2 and BBC Introducing. Plus Clint Boon was ‘knocked out’ the first time he saw Jess Kemp perform live. He said “She’s not just a world-class songwriter; she’s a fantastic performer.”.

Jess Kemp has hit the stages as a headline act at Manchester Academy 3, Factory Manchester, The Live Rooms, Gullivers, Sacred Trinity Church, The Eagle Inn and The Deaf Institute.

After a successful few years on the festival circuit with performances at; Kendal Calling, Bluedot and Blackthorn Music Festival to name a few Jess hit the road in Summer 2018 to embark on her UK Pride Festival Tour made up of 9 dates. Other achievements include placing 3rd for ‘Best Unsigned Female’ in the Best Of British Unsigned Music Awards and 3rd for Indie Week Europe from 70+ bands.

The Mercy Mile.

Another addition to the Flixton Festival line up is local band The Mercy Mile. Formed at the back end of 2017 in Urmston, Manchester. Life long friends Ben Pearce, Oliver Martin Bowes, Mike Irlam and Joe Phillips were brought together by a common passion for great music. Their desire to play live music has already achieved local notoriety and demand for the Mercy Mile to perform is growing rapidly. These local lads have a distinctive love of performing the old rock, soul, funk and Motown classics. Whilst also performing their own tracks influenced by the classics.
