Event description

Description

Residents at Stanton Harcourt have organised an evening of stand-out stand-up comedy. The local village hall on Blackditch will host three professional comedians for an audience of over a hundred locals.

The headline act for the evening is Milo McCabe - a character comedian who performs all over the UK at clubs such as The Comedy Store and Glee and is always a favourite at The Edinburgh Festival where the Daily Mail reviewed his act as, ”A must see". Milo will be performing as his alter-ego, Troy Hawke, a handsome matinee idol home-schooled by his overly nostalgic mother… Regularly headlining gigs up and down the country it’s a rare treat to find Troy playing a village hall!
"A must see!” Daily Mirror
"His act was a comedy masterpiece.” The Stratford Telegraph

Milo will be supported by George Rigden and Harriet Kemsley.

Despite only starting out in 2013, George is already one of the most exciting, hotly-tipped and sought after new acts on the UK comedy circuit and frequently gigs up and down the country. Having excelled in a host of new act competitions in his first year, George made his Edinburgh debut in 2015 returning in 2016 as part of an established and respected showcase The Lunchtime Special at The Tron.
“Rigden is the result of a genetic mash-up between Mitch Benn and Tim Key, perhaps with a few strands of Ricky Gervais’s DNA thrown in…Very Funny Stuff.” Steve Bennett, Chortle

Harriet Kemsley has talked on a stage all over the world - at places like The Sky Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny, the Oslo Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs in Montreal. She has also supported some of her heroes on their nationwide tours, comedians like Katherine Ryan, Stephen Merchant and Isy Suttie. Harriet has also appeared in Jo Brand's new Channel 4 series 'Damned' and pops up in the new season of 'Doctor Foster' on BBC. Her first feature film was 'Bonobo' with excellent people like James Norton, Josie Lawrence and Tessa Peake Jones.

'A quirky, refreshingly charming comedian at the dawn of her TV Career,' The Radio Times.
