Come join us at The Arts Barge for a weekend of exploration and discovery as we delve into the rich history and significance of the Yorkshire Rivers Foss and Ouse. From drenched archival records to muddy artefacts, swords, deeds, and pubs, this pop-up exhibition explores how the Foss and Ouse have and continue to produce, destroy, and preserve the history, heritage, and memories of York.

This exhibition is part of Fran Mahon's PhD and is funded by the University of York, Leverhulme Trust, and Heritage for Global Challenges Research Centre.
As part of Fran's PhD project he will be gathering visitor feedback on the exhibition and its contents through a digital survey and audio-recorded interviews. Feedback is completely voluntary and optional.
