Floral Layers: A Mixed Media Floral Art Workshop

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring 3-hour mixed media art workshop where we explore floral forms using a combination of painting, sewing, pressed flowers and tissue paper collage.

This session is designed for those who enjoy working with their hands and are curious about combining different materials to build texture, depth, and movement. Using a pre-painted black canvas as a base, you’ll be guided through the creative process step-by-step, and gradually build layers that accumulate into a vibrant floral artwork full of contrast and detail.

This session is ideal for adults who want to try something new, love hands-on creativity, exploring mixed media, florals, texture, layering, as a relaxed, playful art experience.

What You’ll Do

• Experiment with paint, tissue paper, and stitch
• Learn how to layer materials to create depth and texture
• Explore floral composition, form, and colour
• Create a unique mixed media floral artwork on canvas

You’ll leave with a completed mixed media floral artwork and new skills combining materials and layering techniques.

No previous experience is needed—just a willingness to explore, play, and get creative!

All materials will be provided and refreshments will be available - just bring yourself — and clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on 🎨

Join us and have fun layering paint, tissue, and stitching into a unique floral piece to take home.

About me

Ellie is a full time abstract expressonist artist based in the East Midlands. She studied Fine Art at university and has continued to develop and evolve her passions and love sharing this with people. For Ellie Art and Wellbeing going hand in hand and her original works are created by her inner emotions and connection to nature and the natural environment. Ellie also works on community projects and freelances as a workshop lead for charities in the local area.
