During this hands-on workshop, you'll be working with premium Italian crepe paper, known for its flexibility, strength, and rich colour, to create a stunning giant flower from scratch.

With step-by-step guidance, you’ll learn how to:

✨ Shape and Sculpt Petals – Cut, stretch, and manipulate crepe paper to create lifelike curves and textures that mimic real petals.

✨ Layer and Assemble – Learn how to layer your petals for a full, dramatic bloom

✨ Use Hot Glue Effectively – Master how to apply hot glue to securely attach petals and centres — ensuring your flower is sturdy and long-lasting (sillicone finger guards provided)

✨ Create a Realistic Flower Centre – Use twisting, curling, and wrapping methods to build a striking focal point for your flower.

✨ Add Finishing Touches – Discover tips for adding extra detail using creative shaping techniques for an even more realistic effect.

By the end of the session, you'll not only take home a beautiful handmade giant flower — but also the knowledge and confidence to make more on your own (big or small).

This event is hosted by Ella, who has been teaching crafts for years and now runs the newly opened Studio Stitch Up in Chesham, offering sewing, dressmaking, and craft classes to all ages. Ella made these giant crepe flowers to decorate her own wedding (featured in the images) and now helps others to learn to make them for themselves.
