Overview
Flu immunisation is one of the most effective interventions immunisers can provide to reduce the risk of serious illness and death from flu, and the pressures on health and social care services during the winter. This session is designed to provide Clinical Staff – Nurses, Nursing Associates and Healthcare Assistants with an update on their knowledge to support them to confidently administer flu vaccinations.
This interactive virtual session will help you:
-Develop the knowledge base of Nurses regarding the seasonal flu vaccination programme
-Support Nurses involved in discussing flu vaccination with those eligible by providing evidence-based information
-Promote high uptake of flu vaccination in those eligible by increasing the knowledge of those involved in delivering the vaccination programme-Provide information on the administration of flu vaccines.
Covid booster update
During this session you will be updated on latest covid booster guidelines and informed of any further training you would need to do to update yourself.
Please note feedback is mandatory and a certificate will not be issued until feedback is complete.
You will be sent an outlook diary invite after booking and a link will be sent out closer to the time of the session so make sure the email address you have provided is accessed before the session.
If you are booking more than one person on the session you need to ensure an email address is provided for each person
