Workshop and Exhibition on Islamic Digital Art
hosted by FLUX Events, ACAVA and Sara Choudhrey
for the Grenfell Community

AYAH Workshops
23rd -24th of June 2018

11-13:00 and 14-16:00

FLUX and artist Sara Choudhrey invite the public and local communities affected by the Grenfell disaster to explore new forms of artistic practice by focusing on Islamic digital art. Maxilla space will open its doors to engage with geometric and floral patterns on the 26th and 27th of June.

Audiences of adults and children over 6 are invited to workshops concentrating on Islamic geometric patterns over the whole weekend. Workshops will be hosted and orchestrated by artist Sara Choudhrey, FLUX Events and ACAVA. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Workshop times are Saturday and Sunday 11-13:00 and 14-16:00

Workshops will culminate in an exhibition at Maxilla Space, North Kensington the following weekend. An exhibition of established digital art practices co-curated by FLUX and Sara Choudhrey will display the outcome of this collaborative work in the context of contemporary art. The event is free and open to everyone.

AYAH events will be hosted by ACAVA and are supported by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
