June 2025 – November 2027

Universities: University of East Anglia and King’s College London

Lead Researchers: Dr Laura Cook and Dr Mary Baginsky

Before Covid-19, CPCs were usually in-person. Online and hybrid conferences were introduced during the pandemic, but we know that while totally online conferences are rarer, hybrid conferences have survived. The usual format is for parents, conference chair and social worker meet in-person and while other professionals may be with them in person others join by a video platform such a Teams.

The researchers shall be examining the extent to which hybrid conferences are occurring and the views of parents and professionals who have experience of them.

At this early stage we are conducting scoping discussions, speaking to representatives of the main professionals who attend child protection conferences.

In this webinar Mary would like to discuss the project and hear the experiences of those who attend conferences – not just hybrid conferences. All information provided will be treated in confidence and no individual will be identified in any report.

THIS SESSION WILL NOT BE RECORDED SO ANY INFORMATION SHARED WILL BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
