About this event

Diagnosing a brain tumour in primary care is challenging - for a complex mix of reasons, not least the relatively low incidence of brain tumours and the non specific symptoms they may present with. Nobody wants to miss a diagnosis and yet a prompt diagnosis can lead to a better quality of life and improved outcomes. The team at The Christie, Manchester, is planning a trial which aims to further characterise liquid biopsy (such as blood, saliva or tears) and develop a brain cancer-specific biomarker panel suitable for early diagnosis and non-invasive monitoring of the patients suffering from this disease.

The team would like your input into their study design and translational end points. Please come along and share your thoughts. This is for all adult brain tumours.

We're here to help you live better with a brain tumour, so you can get back to being you.

brainstrust is a UK national brain tumour support charity.

We provide personalised support and build resources that help people with a brain tumour and their loved ones live the life they want after diagnosis. We work with people in the clinical setting to secure the best possible care for people with a brain tumour and we campaign to solve real issues, because we understand what challenges people with a brain tumour face.

Our support is available to everybody affected by any type of brain tumour.
