Event description
If you're an SRA/RA or former SRA/RA, we want to hear your voice for a Gender-Based Violence Charter for Scottish Universities & Colleges

About this Event

The Scottish charity EmilyTest are creating a new, Scottish Government funded GBV Charter for Universities and Colleges. We have just completed our exciting research with students, addressing their experiences and needs surrounding abuse and violence in education. Now, our research is turning to the people responsible for student welfare and experience - if you are a current or former student Resident Assistant (SRA/RA) in a UK university or college, please sign up so we can hear your voice.

Receive a £15 Just Eat or Amazon voucher and join an engaging, safe chaired discussion on your experiences in the RA role. Did you witness GBV or disclosures of GBV in halls/accommodation? Do/did you know where to turn if a student came to you with personal issues? What do/did you think of the training and support you receive(d)? What would you improve about the RA model?

Participants can join one of two focus groups on 29th or 20th September at 17.00. You can attend the focus groups anonymously, with your camera and microphone switched off. Identities and institutions will be fully anonymous in the Charter research and its accompanying report.
