Description

This event is for anyone representing a faith organisation in Tameside interested in providing dementia friendly community for all those living with dementia and their carers.

There will be a number of speakers exploring issues such as,

"What makes a dementia friendly community?" "What are local faith groups curently doing?" Understanding more about dementia and what strategies can be employed to improve our care of those living with dementia.


We are delighted to have Professor David Jolley as a speaker at this event. Prof Jolley is a well respected psychiatrist in the field of dementia and has previously delivered both services and research into the area of spirituality and faith in dementia.

There will be an information marketplace; an opportunity to chat to service providers locally and we will be encouraging local churches and other faith communities to share their good practice, experience and strategies.
