Event description

Description

Focus on Scotland is Scotland’s Festival of Factual Television, held at the University of Stirling on Monday 22nd October 2018.

Getting right to the heart of crucial issues for the Scottish production community, this one-day event will explore commissioning across a range of channels, new directions in factual production, developments in online and the ethics of making factual content.

For professionals, the programme includes panel discussions and master classes featuring a range of leading commissioners and the indie community. For emerging talent, top industry professionals will run workshops on factual development and self-shooting, and there will be the chance to pitch your content ideas to industry decision makers.

There are opportunities to network over lunch and a drinks reception in the evening, as well as the awards ceremony for our very first Focus on Factual film competition. And it’s all free!
