What is #focusonmarketing?
If you didn't know already, #focusonmarketing is a regular group masterminding session aimed at bringing small business owners together to learn about the latest marketing thinking, how to apply it to their business and get ideas and inspiration from other local business folk. There's no jargon, no formality and you'll definitely go away inspired
Do I have to do a '60 seconds'?
No! #focusonmarketing is an informal session. You don't have to do a 60 second pitch (just introduce yourself) and if you're shy, then don't worry - you can listen (but we'd love to know what you think).
7:30-7:45 - Claire opens the session, plus intros from everyone
7:45-8:00 - Discussion - 'What makes a great blog?'
8:00-8:10 - Huddle - split into groups to discuss ideas for effective blogging - here's where we come up with some top tips to all take away with us, including how to write a great blog post and where to promote your blog for maximum website traffic
8:10-8:30 - Present findings from 'huddles'
8:30-8:45 - BREAK (refreshments available to buy from the cafe)
8:45-9:15 - Open discussion and specific questions on blogging - what do you need help with? Are you stuck for ideas or have you lost interest in your blog? Ask the group and we can all help each other
9:15-9:30 - Action - learning points from the evening, plus tasks for next time
9:30 - CLOSE
Where and when is it?
The next event is at 10:00am on Tuesday 26th November 2013 at Love Coffee in Salop Leisure just on the edge of Shrewsbury. There is free on site parking outside.
Please arrive by 9:45am so that we can get settled in and get a cuppa before starting
How much does it cost?
The event costs £10 which is payable via PayPal before the event.
This is excellent value for a 2 hour workshop!
What do I need to bring?
Bring a pen and paper and feel free to bring business cards in case you make some useful contacts, but this isn't a networking event. We'd love to see some people collaborating as a result though!
So, your prep is this - come along with a burning question about how you could improve your own blog. And, come along with something you've tried that you'd recommend to everyone else - perhaps a great blog you've seen or a useful way to plan your blog you've tried. We all have a contributions to make here and we'll all come away with some useful info!
