FODC Online Talk Series
Event Information
About this Event
Join guest speaker Dr Jane Sik as she explores beekeeping and honeybees in Ayrshire.
“Bees must have been kept on and near Dundonald Castle Hill for hundreds of years. Probably the castle had straw skeps in Bee boles in a wall somewhere. I have kept bees at the bottom of the hill for nine years (and find that people know very little about honeybees but find them fascinating). I will talk about their life cycle and about keeping bees and try to include a bit about history!"
This is an online talk which will be held using the Zoom platform. Tickets cost £3 and joining links will be sent closer to the time of the event.
This series of talks is being hosted as a small fundraiser for Friends of Dundonald Castle SCIO. To find out more about who we are and what we do, head over to our website: www.dundonaldcastle.org.uk
