Roger Wilson and Chris Parkinson first started playing music together in 1994, when Roger was asked to join The House Band, of which Chris had been a founding member around ten years earlier. In addition to recording and touring with the band, they worked together on Roger’s album ‘Stark Naked’, and the album of Chris’s recorded shortly afterwards, entitled ‘Out of his Tree’.
Since around the turn of the millennium they have continued to work together as a duo, at folk festivals such as Whitby Folk Week and Leicester’s The Big Session, and at club gigs around the UK and Europe. Their repertoire includes traditional folk songs, original compositions, and high energy dance tunes from England, Ireland and America, sprinkled with occasional exotic tunes from further afield in Europe.
