Ryan Young is an emerging young fiddle player from Scotland - one of a 'new wave' of young players bringing fresh and inventive ideas to traditional Scottish music. Ryan's sound is very distinctive and he always takes the listener on an adventurous and emotional journey in any performance.
In December 2016, at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards 2016,
Ryan was named 'Up and Coming Artist of the Year'. He has recently finished his debut album which was recorded and produced by Jesse Lewis, a triple Grammy winner.
'Uniquely graceful and expressive playing. A future star of the
Scottish fiddle world' - Aidan O'Rourke (Lau)
Jenna from New York & Màiri from the Isle of Skye combine to make contemporary music rooted in the melodies of Scotland and Appalachia. The pair met in 2012 whilst studying at Berklee College of Music and are a product of the thriving and rich Boston music community. Jenna and Màiri have both been heavily steeped in tradition, but their music breathes new life into old tunes and merges their wide-ranging influences into a sound that is at once grounded and adventurous.
