Event description

Description

SAID

A day for GPs, hospital doctors and allied healthcare professionals/students who want to hear the science and evidence behind the headlines and hashtags.

Enjoy healthy food, mindful moments, movement "snacks" and meet with others who believe that the evidence for lifestyle interventions need more air time and debate.

Hear about:

  • the evidence for low carbohydrate dietary approaches in diabetes care

  • the role plants play in our diet, in particular for cancer prevention

  • the controversies over fats and cardiovascular disease

  • how when you eat might matter as much as what you eat

  • the importance of the microbiome in food and physical activity

  • the evidence for the benefits of physical activity in health

  • the tools needed in consultations to support your patients to make lifestyle changes
