Description

How can organisations come together to start a big public conversation about the future of food?

Following the successful Future of Food collaborative innovation process we undertook in 2016/17, the New Citizenship Project and COOK are working together to host an open hack session. We believe there is a major opportunity for organisations of all shapes and sizes to use their public-facing touchpoints - from packaging to stores to visitor centres - as triggers and data collection points for a fun, creative, generative national conversation about the future of our food system.

If we can come together to deliver this project, it will be the most direct expression of organisations speaking to the public not just as consumers of food, but as citizens and participants in shaping our food system - a shift from which organisations and individuals across the food system stand to gain significantly if we can make it happen.
We will design a process which will enable attendees from all sorts of organisations to share ideas and challenges for this aspiration. stimulating the conversation with initial creative thinking. Participants will come away excited and inspired - and hopefully with a new opportunity for 2018 on their hands.

Central London venue to be confirmed by early September.
