Event Details

A participative event, looking at the broad issues raised by our present food system, globally and locally, the needs and possibilities for the future and the human right to an healthy diet.

Participants are invited to gather from 13.30; programme begins at 14.00

Presentations will be brief, to prompt and encourage participation.

Dr Laurence Graham wil present an overview of the issues which food presents in these times; John McCormick, an organic market gardener, will speak on possibilities and problems for the production of good food locally;

Mary Mc Manus will speak about food poverty.  The event will end with a contribution from Kerry Melville of the Belfast Food Network on the theme of a People's Charter for Food

There will be a break for refreshments during the event.

The event is open to all, promoted by South Belfast Methodists and South Belfast Quaker Meeting.
