Food for our Future Campaign Launch 'Just Eat It' online screening
Event Information
About this Event
We are delighted to launch the Food for our Future campaign with a screening of the award-winning film 'Just Eat It'.
Synopsis
Filmmakers and food lovers Jen and Grant dive into the issue of food
waste from farm, through retail, all the way to the back of their own
fridge. After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food that
is tossed each year in North America, they pledge to quit grocery
shopping and survive only on discarded food. What they find is truly
shocking.
The screening starts at 17:30 and lasts 74 minutes.
We will follow the screening with a live panel discussion 'Whose responsibility is sustainability?' (approx. 45 mins)
Hosted by Cambridge Sustainable Food Director, Gemma Birley. Panelists include, Dr. Alison Grieg (ARU) Rebecca Weymouth-Wood (Greater Anglia Waste partnership) and Cllr Brian Milnes.
A Zoom link will be sent by email in advance of the screening, so do please look out for our email!
