Food for Thought: A Virtual Voluntary Sector Forum (Lincolnshire)
Event Information
About this Event
'A rising tide', 'Lifelines in lockdown' and 'A gathering storm' are the titles of the first three chapters of a recent report on the impact of Covid-19 on the Trussell Trust's network of food banks.* The aim of this voluntary sector forum is to bring together those of you involved in helping tackle food poverty, to share experiences and challenges, and the practical support available to help to protect and improve the lifelines created in Lincolnshire.
Information sharing will cover:
- Funding and resources
- Food distribution and waste prevention
- Resource sharing
- Child poverty and hunger
The programme will be delivered via Zoom and will combine presentations with opportunities for group discussions and refreshment breaks. This will give attendees an opportunity to share their own experiences to support and learn from other groups.
Who should attend?
The event is open to staff and volunteers of charities, community groups and voluntary sector organisations in Lincolnshire.
Booking
Please reserve your place via Evenbrite and a Zoom invitation will be emailed to you the day before the event.
