We would love you to join us for the first Food for Thought SME Networking Event on the 28th of March at the Regional Food Academy at Harper Adams University.
Shropshire Food and Drink are launching this event with Harper Adams University's Regional Food Academy to help food and drink producers, chefs, farm shop owners and small to medium food businesses get advice and support, to enable everyone to grow, evolve and collaborate.
This event is open to all - including food tech companies.
When: Monday 28th March from 4pm-6pm
Where: Regional Food Academy at Harper Adams University, Newport TF10 8NB
To include an introduction talk, facility tour, product showcases and a chance to network.
Demonstrations that will be conducted throughout the evening
- In food testing room. Using custard cream biscuits to look at texture of products. Comparing normal biscuit to a wet one, including showing the numerical difference of how much force is needed to break the biscuits.
- In food testing room. Colour spectrometer- looking at milkshakes
- Cheese room.
- Development kitchen. Discuss what could be used for.
- Incubation unit. Discuss what could be used for
- Multifunctional space. 2 portable sensory booths to look at jellybeans
- Sensory Evaluation room. Looking at milkshakes under different lights.
- Photography and focus space
