Event description
Italian food tasting event: Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi, Garfagnana, Barga

About this Event

Do you picture delicious food when someone mentions Tuscany or Naples?

If the answer’s yes, come along to this fun and informative evening of flavours with Slow Food Glasgow. Immerse yourself in the delicious, often forgotten, recipes of Italy. Explore the treasures of Garfagnana (Tuscany), Naples and Amalfi at Dimora restaurant.

Sampling the tastes and cultures of these rich and colourful areas, you’ll be transported to the Apuan Alps and River Serchio around Barga, the Gulf of Naples and the Sorrento Peninsula.

Resident chef and owner of Dimora, Peppe Staiano, who specialises in cooking food from the Italian region of Campania, will be serving his outstanding creations, while our guest, Alessio Pedri, Chair of Slow Food Garfagnana, will join us to share some of the exceptional and rare specialities of the region.

Programme:

5:30 pm: Slow Food Glasgow AGM (Slow Food Glasgow members only)

6:30 pm: Focus on Slow Food Garfagnana Valle del Serchio with Alessio Pedri

7:30 pm: Taste of Campania
