COURSE DESCRIPTION

Food Hygiene Course is designed for you or your employees who work in an environment that deals with food. It teaches comprehensive principles of good food handling practices to anyone who is a food handler in an environment where food is prepared, stored or cooked.

This Level 2 Food Hygiene Course is delivered over a 5-hour session and assists with meeting Food Safety Act of 1990; a variety of food safety/hygiene regulations including those introduced in 2006; and the Food Information for Consumers Regulation. This will enable your Food Businesses to ensure that employees are trained in food hygiene and food safety in a way that is appropriate to the work they do.

SPECIFICATIONS FOOD HYGIENE COURSE

The session develops learners knowledge, understanding, and skills in the following areas:

  • Legal requirement with regard to food hygiene and safety
  • Result and consequence of poor food hygiene practices at work and at home
  • Causes of food poisoning
  • Food poisoning symptoms
  • Good personal hygiene
  • Correct food handling and preparation at work
