The Food is Everyone’s Business Training course has now been developed by the HATCH Local Care Partnership. The Course aims to support the workforce to:
- Understand the importance of food and healthier eating and the drivers that influence food options
- Learn basic skills that will support the delivery of better conversations “identifying open doors”
- Identify key healthy eating messages taken from the Eatwell Guide and how to use the guide in practice considering cultural food needs and barriers to healthy eating
- Outline ways in which the messages from the training can be used in your role and workplace and support appropriate signposting
Please note, this is part of our Test & Learn phase of developing the training. Your experience, insights and feedback will play a crucial role in how we adapt the training for future groups.
About the venue: The Vinery Centre is a wheelchair accessible venue. Refreshments will be available in the training. The venue has free parking around the back of the building. Please park here if possible so as not to disturb local residents. Busses 5, 5a, 7, 11, 19, 19a, 40, 56, 64, 163, 164 and 165 stop a short walk from the building.
