Description

Food Standards

An overview of the most popular food certifications and standards

The Food & Drink Forum’s food technical team will provide delegates with an overview of the most popular food certifications and standards at present. Food and drink manufacturers may find that they are asked to achieve certain certifications by their customers, this is especially true of large organisations such as supermarkets or when supplying to schools and the NHS. The most popular certifications to achieve are SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval), BRC (British Retail Consortium), Soil Association and Red Tractor. They ensure that the business is operating to a set standard. This session will allow you to understand which certifications may be useful to your food business and why.
