Built in the 1100’s, the market has been described as the belly of Paris! The Montorgueil street was an important axis leading to the market since the Middle Age and kept its tradition of fresh, diverse and gourmet foods in Paris.
Excellent bakeries, pastry shops, cheese shops, fishmongers, delicatessen as well as many restaurants brought its strong reputation as a center of good gastronomy.
Discover the specialties of Stohrer, including the macarons, the oldest pastry shop of Paris, a place opened in 1730 where the baba au rhum were invented (a place also visited by Elizabeth II, queen of England!). See the variety of cheese and the favorite cheeses of the French as well as the different kinds of bread and the best baguettes. Discover the variety of products coming from the different regions of France!
Get to know French culture through its gastronomy in the heart of Paris and the reasons why the French are wildly passionate about it!
