Focus on providing an off the beaten path experience, where you get the chance to try dishes like Goulash, Chimney Cake, Langos - but all while avoiding the crowded and touristy places.

If you are looking for a local authentic tour that takes you away from the touristy and crowded areas, this experience is for you. This food tour is ideal for people who are looking to learn about Hungarian gastronomy and history, in an authentic manner and small group environment.

During the tour, sample traditional cold cuts and traditional meals, as well as wines and the local spirit - and of course some traditional sweets as well.

Can you accomodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can cater to all sorts of dietary restrictions, just let us know beforehand, but don't worry, we also check in with you at the start of the tour.

Where does the tour starts?

Our 11:30 AM Tour starts from the front of the Centrall Market Hall's main entrance, opposite of Burger King - just look for the Red Foodapest Bag! IMPORTANT Our 5:00 PM tour starts from the front of the Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel!

How long is your tour?

Aprixmately 2.5-3 hours depending on the group's pace and size.

I'm a Solo Traveller, can I still join?

Absolutely, our tour is a great way to connect with other travellers - also if you have a preference of joining a larger group just let us know and we can aim to accomodate!

Join us for a small group cooking class every day at 13:00! We start with a tour of Budapest's oldest market hall and after a bit of shopping we go to our local apartment to cook together your chosen Hungarian traditional dish. Everyone is welcome, children, couples, families, grammas...! The entire experience usually takes around 4hrs, but we are not in a rush and we can offer flexibility to accommodate your schedule!
