Managing footwear for people with diabetes.This session is aimed at clinicians and footwear retailers to enhance their understanding of the issues surrounding footwear for people with diabetes. Diabetes UK

Understanding Lymphoedema and Rheumatology This session aimed at clinicians and retailers to improve their understanding of Lymphoedema and its management. Cosyfeet TBA

Rocker soles. A presentation explaining the theory behind rocker soles and how they can be used in management of the lower limb. TBA

Gait Analysis and In-shoe technology. A presentation about the latest in shoe technologies to analyse gait. Digitsole

Developments in performance footwear fabrics. A presentation informing delegates about the latest developments in fabric treatments to eliminate odours and micro-organisms within footwear. Microfresh

Followers of Fashion.This session focusses on the highs and lows of shoe fashions, from the distinctly lewd medieval poulaine, the delicate flats of the early nineteenth century and the ridiculous 70s platform.

A whizz through some of the different styles and fashions around over 1,000 years or so, illustrated with stories and anecdotes. Shoe Adaptions.This presentation is a practical demonstration as to how shoes can be adapted for the wearer’s needs. TBA

The Last. This session considers the importance of the last in shoe making, for example, how last shapes have changed through the ages and the importance of a good last to get the correct fitting shoe. TBA

Vegan v. Leather. A session to explore the advantages and disadvantages of materials used in shoe manufacture in terms of sustainability / bio-degradability / recycling / animal conservation. How is the footwear industry is changing to meet the demands of different consumers. TBA

Q & A. Question and Answer session to stimulate debate and understanding of the issues facing clinicians, retailers and manufacturers. Panel of Speakers
