Foot in the Door (FITD) is structured around a series of courses that will enable you to grow your employability skills, give you up to 90 hours experience working within an organisation and get a head start in the creative sector. FITD is an opportunity for 60 young creatives build a legacy in the creative and cultural industry in Birmingham. FITD will help you in all those ‘off stage’ roles like designer, marketer, lighting engineer, event organiser, workshop facilitator, project co-ordinator.
Creative Alliance is the leading learning provider within the creative and cultural sector in the Midlands. We are working with 10 partner organisations* with funding from Arts Connect to help the city’s creative talent aged 16-23, to get a foot in the door of this sector. We especially want to encourage those from a diverse background who may not have had such an opportunity before. You don’t need any prior experience, just the will to get stuck in and an open mind!

27th April will be held in The Door, Birmingham REP– Please meet by the benches by the box office.
28th April on the Mezzanine, Birmingham REP – when you arrive please go straight up to the mezzanine.
4th May on the Mezanine – when you arrive please go straight up to the mezzanine.
5th May will be held in Rehearsal Room 2 – Please report to stage door on Cambridge Street
