Description

Patagonia presents an evening of film and discussion with ambassador Alex Yoder, hosted by Huck.

Join us for the screening of Foothills: The Unlinked Heritage of Snowboarding. Filmed and directed by Patagonia Snowboard Ambassador Alex Yoder, the story centres on Petran, a small mountain region in Turkey, where the community have been snowboarding on handmade wooden boards for over 300 years.

Chaired by HUCK’s Editor-at-Large Michael Fordham, the panel discussion following the film will centre around themes of sustainable living and environmentally-friendly design.

Speakers:

Sustainable design expert and environmentalist Sophie Thomas has founded a number of social enterprises that aim to advance the design industry’s capacity to respond to environmental challenges through knowledge sharing and investigation.

Keen to reduce the impact the surf industry has on the environment, shaper Paul Reisberg runs a wooden surfboard company Arbo Surfboards from an off-the-grid base in Perranporth, Cornwall, and conducts workshops on wooden surfboard making to share skills and allow others to build their own.

Cold beers provided by Four Pure.
