About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Step into the stylish world of Regency London! Join me on a mission from none other than Beau Brummell himself — the original influencer — to collect his outfit for a very important dinner with the Prince Regent. As we race (well, stroll elegantly) through St James, we’ll explore the secrets of Regency fashion, discover how films and Churchill shaped the area, and meet the fascinating characters who’ve left their mark here. From silk stockings to political scandals, it’s an adventure through time with plenty of surprising stories. We’ll also visit some of the oldest shops in the world still open today — where the past is very much still in fashion. And finally, we’ll uncover why Beau was summoned to the Palace. A perfect mix of history, humour, and style — ideal for curious minds of all ages!

Explore some of Westminster’s lesser-known streets on this 90-minute walking tour that brings together history, fashion, and a healthy dose of scandal. We’ll meet at the top of the Piccadilly Underground steps on Regent Street and follow in the footsteps of Beau Brummell — the original Regency dandy — as he assembles the perfect outfit for dinner with the Prince Regent.

Along the route, we’ll uncover stories of society’s obsession with style, political intrigue, and surprising tales of greed and ambition. Expect elegant arcades, historic shops still trading today, film locations, and how World War II, Churchill, and even modern cinema have shaped this fashionable corner of London.

The walk finishes outside St James’s Palace. Buckingham Palace is just a 5-minute stroll away, and several Tube stations are nearby if you wish to continue your London adventure. The walk is fully accessible and perfect for visitors and locals alike.
