This fun, free, two-hour introduction to roleplaying games (RPGs) is open to all — but primarily offered to members of the Playhouse Encore Programme.
We will:
- Briefly introduce what RPGs (roleplaying games) are — in a nutshell, fun, interactive storytelling where everyone has their own character in the tale, and you occasionally roll dice to see how well your plans unfold.
- Create your own “fast characters” together, complete with some fun quirks and traits.
- Play through a simple, adventurous scenario where everyone can try out their characters.
- Wrap up with time for questions, feedback, and a chat about what you enjoyed.
Any questions pleae feel free to get in touch.
Venue: I will try to secure a place to run this session at the Playhouse, but for now I've put one of my regular venues 'The Hop Merchant' (next to the Theatre Royal) as a secure placeholder.
Note: I’m simply a member of one of the Playhouse Encore groups myself — this isn’t an official Encore event yet! I’m hoping to persuade the Playhouse to start an official roleplaying group, so your participation, enthusiasm, and feedback could help make that a reality!
About Me: I, Damon Mitchell, have been running RPGs for a living for almost 10 years now. Firstly, at the Ludorati cafe and for the past year self emplyed under the banner of 'DM Horizons' with the motto 'Adventure for all'. I love helping everyone have their hero moment, sharing spellbinding stories and bringing a little more adventure into the world. if you can't make this session, but are interested please feel free to get in touch and let me know - I'm sure we can find an opportunity for you!
