About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours

Rhodri Lloyd Williams and family farm Welsh Mountain sheep and Welsh Black cattle over 750 acres at 700ft in the Cambrian Mountains.

Join us for a farm walk to see how Rhodri grazes his cattle, and his flock of 750 head. The farm is Organic and part of the ProHill progressive ram breeders group .

Rhodri will show us how he's using herbal leys, tree planting (hedges), mob grazing long rest periods, and grass-fed genetics to increase efficiency.

'We are in awe of the ewes we are now breeding and managing, their ability to lamb outdoors at 700 feet and produce lambs that finish solely off forage' - Rhodri Lloyd Williams.

We will also be joined by Eurion Thomas from FecPak Parasite Management, to discuss reducing the use of anthelmintics in pasture-based systems, and Rhodri's use of FECPAK and testing of FEC as a breeding trait.

Lunch included! Hope to see you there.

This event is funded by the AFN Network+ Stakeholder Flexfund.
