Hi, I’m Ladislav (Lad for short). I grew up in Slovakia, where mushroom picking is part of everyday life and culture. My fascination with fungi started in childhood and grew into a lifelong passion. Today, I teach courses in foraging, mushroom cultivation, and mycelium-based materials—and I’d love to share that passion with you.What to ExpectJoin me on a magical guided walk through diverse habitats, where I’ll introduce you to the incredible world of fungi. Along the way, you’ll learn:
- How to confidently identify wild mushrooms in the field and at home
- The key characteristics of fungi (with guidebooks and mobile apps to help)
- Which species are edible, medicinal, or useful in everyday life
- Fascinating facts about one of nature’s most mysterious kingdoms
We’ll take a gentle circular walk of around 1.5 miles, moving at a slow pace so there’s plenty of time to stop, explore, and ask questions.If we are lucky, we’ll have the chance to collect some of the more abundant finds to cook and enjoy at home.
