What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for a walk on the farm. Arms, legs and feet should be covered. Wellies or walking boots are advised. Waterproof outer layer may be needed. Layers of clothing allow adjustment for temperature.

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

You may wish to bring drinks and snacks (vegan plant based only please) for refreshment during the walk.
Notebook and pen / phone camera may assist in remembering the plants we see.

How do I get to the farm?

Accepted Answer

Access to the farm by vehicle is via Truro Avenue, Murton, SR7 9LG
(this is NOT the farm postcode, which, in many satellite navigation systems, provides the wrong directions).
On foot or bicycle, the farm can be accessed by various surrounding footpaths from Murton, Seaton, or Dalton le Dale.

What facilities are there on the farm?

Accepted Answer

There is free parking in the farmyard.
There is a compost loo and outdoor urinals.
Hand washing is available.
There is a small shop where you can purchase our products.

Question 5

Is the foraging walk suitable for people with restricted monility?

Accepted Answer

The regular monthly foraging walks go around the farm over grassland, with some inclines, although not steep. Only a few specialist mobility vehicles can handle this terrain safely. 
Look out for our foraging walks especially designated for users with restricted mobility & their carers/ supporters.

Can children join the foraging walk?

Accepted Answer

Children are welcome at the foraging walks.
Children 5 years of age and under go free.
Children age 6-16 years pay half price - see tickets

Question 7

Can I bring my dog to the foraging walk?

Accepted Answer

Well behaved and well socialised dogs are welcome on the foraging walks. They must be kept on the lead at all times, and must not be allowed to worry the wildlife.

Question 8

What about smoking or vaping at the farm, am I allowed?

Accepted Answer

There is absolutely no smoking of cigarettes, cigars, pipes  or anything else, and no vaping permitted at the farm.
We want to enjoy the fresh clean air, and we want to avoid any risk of fire.
