Join us for a nature walk at Markeaton Park!

Get ready to connect with nature and celebrate the beauty of late Summer with a stroll through the beautiful Markeaton Park.

This event is perfect for nature lovers, fungi fans, families, and anyone looking to learn about and immerse themselves in the great outdoors.

We will be gathering at Markeaton Car Park at 5:50 PM for a 6:00 PM start, we will then begin our walk around the park where you will be guided to the natural world around you. Learn names and facts about the mushrooms, insects, flowers, trees, weeds, and things you have never noticed before!Bring along a foraging bag, and footwear suitable for walking. If you want to collect nettle seeds, gloves are a good idea too!

Price: Donate what you feel/give what you are able/free for low income, no questions asked

Is this suitable for children?

Yes! If they enjoy nature and walking then they will love this session! Please make sure you purchase a ticket for each child (e.g. 2 adults + 2 children = 4 tickets)

Do I need to bring anything?

We would recommend you bring suitable footwear and weather appropriate clothing, a camera to take photos of what you find, a notebook and pen to record your findings & facts, a bag to collect your foraged finds, gloves if harvesting nettles, and some water to drink while walking.

How much does it cost?
