About this event

Would you like to start your Sunday feeling refreshed and calm and giving your immune system a boost? Then why not join us for a dose of relaxing nature therapy at a Forest Bathing session in the ancient woodland of Beckenham Place Park. Enjoy slowing down as we take a gentle walk of 1.5-2km through the woods, stopping in some glades to: do some mindfulness based practices using our senses, experience some effective ways to reduce stress from the body and mind, and chill out with a guided relaxation under the tree canopy.

There is a wealth of scientific research, that shows that being in a forest or wooded area has a host of health benefits for our mental and physical well-being, e.g. it can: boost our mood, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve immune system function and sleep.

Your guide, Maya, (qualified with The Forest Bathing Institute -Complimentary Medicine Association accredited), has experience of leading forest bathing sessions for almost 300 people (in both Beckenham Place Park and in for council staff at lunchtimes in Surrey).

New attendees need to please complete an online health registration form via this link:
