About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Beat that back to work and school feeling by starting your weekend with some relaxing nature therapy - and give your wellbeing and immune system a boost. Join us for a Forest Bathing+ session in the ancient woodland of Beckenham Place Park. Enjoy slowing down mind and body as we take a gentle walk of 1.5-2km through the woodland, stopping in glades to do some mindfulness-based practices using our senses and chilling out with a peaceful, guided relaxation under the tree canopy. There will also be time to choose from some nature crafting, guided meditation or solo exploration time.

There is a wealth of scientific research, that shows that being in a forest or wooded area can have a host of health benefits for our mental and physical well-being, e.g. it can: boost our mood, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve immune system function and sleep.

Your guide, Maya, (qualified with The Forest Bathing Institute -Complimentary Medicine Association accredited), has experience of leading forest bathing sessions for 275+ people (in both Beckenham Place Park and for council staff at lunchtimes in Surrey).
