Discover the Restorative Power of Forest Bathing+ at Friston Forest
Join us for a peaceful 2.5-hour walk through the beautiful woodland of Friston Forest. These gentle, guided sessions are all about slowing down tuning into nature and allowing your mind to unwind under the calming canopy of trees.
During the session your Forest Bathing+ Guide will lead you through a series of simple sensory activities designed to help you feel more connected to the natural world—calming both body and mind. We’ll also share some fascinating insights into the science behind why spending time in forests is so good for our wellbeing, including the health benefits of simply breathing in woodland air.
The heart of the session is about giving yourself the space to relax. By stepping away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and really noticing the sights, sounds and scents around you, you may find yourself seeing the forest with fresh eyes—perhaps with the curiosity and wonder of a child.
We’d love for you to join us and experience how time in nature can bring a greater sense of balance. Each session is an opportunity to slow down, feel more grounded, and nourish both mind and body.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you into the forest soon!
Includes a reflection sheet to take home, and follow up support —a small way to continue the calm after your walk.
We want this experience to feel nourishing and accessible.
- Standard ticket: £35
- Concession: £30 (for students, low-income, or those who need it)
Each session is 2.5 hours and includes guided sensory activities, insights into forest wellbeing science, and time to truly unwind under the trees.

About Hannah your Forest Bathing Guide
I’m passionate about sharing the transformative power of nature, and I’ve trained with The Forest Bathing Institute (TFBI), a leader in Forest Bathing+ since its foundation in 2018. The TFBI has led hundreds of sessions for thousands of people, with profound results. Their evidence-backed approach shows the incredible benefits of forest bathing — from reducing stress and improving sleep to enhancing immune function and mood.
I’ve been fortunate to learn from the experts at TFBI, whose research partnerships with universities worldwide have demonstrated how these sessions not only boost nature connection but also reduce negative emotions like depression and fatigue.
As your guide, I’m committed to creating a safe, welcoming space for you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience its calming and restorative effects firsthand.

Around 40 years ago the Japanese started researching the benefits of spending time in nature, to be specific, forests. The results were startling and so significant that this therapy is now delivered on their health service. The therapy is called Shinrin Yoku: Forest Bathing.
There are some wonderful potential benefits associated with Forest Bathing. Research includes an array of benefits such as reducing stress, improving sleep, boosting mood and memory, and enhancing immune response. Please see the section above about TFBI for links to research papers.
Shinrin Yoku is sometimes translated as 'Taking in the atmosphere of the Forest'
