Is Forest Bathing just a walk in the woods?

Forest bathing, is the practice of immersing oneself in nature—specifically in forests—while focusing on the sensory experience of the surroundings. It’s not about exercise or hiking, but rather about slowing down, being present, and taking in the sights, sounds, smells and texture of the forest.

What should I wear?

Please wear weather appropriate clothes and shoes. Terrain may be uneven and muddy. When it comes to forest bathing, comfort and practicality are key, as you’ll want to be able to fully immerse yourself in nature without distractions.

Do I need to be physically fit to partake in this event?

The route will be around 1.5k in length and the terrain is generally gentle and suitable for all levels of fitness. Please contact Jeanne-Marie if you have any accessibility or mobility concerns.

What should I bring?

Please bring waterproof or warm clothing in case of any showers and sunscreen in case of any sun! Please bring your own refreshments. You might want to bring a notebook for journaling. Generally, keep it light so you can fully enjoy the Forest Bathing experience.
