Event description
A sensory connection journey, moving slowly through the woodland - mindfully connecting with all your senses for relaxation and wellbeing.

About this event

We will take you on a journey through the beautiful woodland of Newlands Corner, part of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Forest Bathing+ is based on the Japanese art of Shinrin Yoku and involves a slow exploration of nature through your senses.

This session will be calming and relaxing and FB+ has scientifically proven beneficial therapeutic effects. You can learn more about the practice on our website www.tfb.institute.

Our Forest Bathing+ route at Newlands Corner takes us through mixed woodland including oak, yew and birch. We may also visit a grove of ancient yews, on the northern wooded slope, whose girth suggests ages of between 500 to more than 1000 years old. Your guide will share many interesting facts, for example, how trees communicate and the role they can play in our strengthening our immune system.

Due to Social distancing and additional Health and Safety considerations you will be required to complete and return the registration form in advance, so look out for the welcome email from your guide a few days before the event.

Organiser The Forest Bathing Institute (TFBI)

Organiser of Forest Bathing+ Experience - Mindfulness in Nature at Newlands Corner

We specialise in small group sessions of mindfulness in nature, adapted to current guidelines. We guide you through mindfulness-based activities in a forest environment, while holding a safe space for all participants. Our unique approach to Forest Bathing has been developed through many years of study in mindfulness, meditation and forest science, leading to Forest Bathing+ , and approach which is increasingly proven to have tangible results to health and well-being.

We have exemption from the current 6 person restrictions and we are in constant communication and consultation with local government to ensure we have robust processes in place for the safety and protection of our guests and guides.
