Our guided Free Forest Bathing Session invites you to slow down, awaken your senses, and deeply connect with nature in a mindful and restorative way.

Wander through the woodland at a leisurely pace, engaging all your senses, the experience includes several nature connection invitations, allowing you to completely unwind beneath the leafy canopy, followed by a warming woodland tea.

Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing is a proven method to enhance well-being, with benefits including:

Easing anxiety, stress, and overthinking

What you need to know

  • Meet at 1pm at the main visitor reception.
  • The experience will last around 11/2 hours.
  • You may want to bring a small backpack containing a water bottle, extra layer, waterproof or sun cream and hat on warmer days. As we head into Autumn and Winter we expect the sessions to go ahead in all but the worst of weather so extra layers and waterproofs are essential.
  • We recommend wearing long trousers and walking shoes or boots but strong trainers or wellies will do for most of the trails we will use.
  • There are limited spaces so please make sure to book.
  • Parking charges apply at all times.

Frequently asked questions

Can 16 year olds come unaccompanied?

Places are available for anyone over the age of 16;however anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18 who is responsible for them

Do you need to be physically fit to come forest bathing?

We will cover approximately 2miles at a pace of around 2-3 miles an hour. We will be pausing regularly to appreciate our natural surroundings. As such forest bathing is a very gentle form of exercise. We will be going up and down gentle slopes and some of the paths we use will be uneven.
