About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

This event is aimed at children aged 4 - 11. If your child is eligible for benefits-related free school meals please book a ticket on the Fun and Food booking website instead, using the ticket you will have recieved from your child's school. If your child is eligible and you have not recieved a ticket, please email funandfoodtickets@durham.gov.uk and they will be able to help.

Led by two OASES forest school and forest bathing trained officers, children will enjoy a fun and active day of outdoor activities in the school grounds such as bug hunting, team games, den building, forest crafts and campfire cooking. Each session will have different activities. A healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.

The activities will take place outdoors in the school grounds, so please dress your child in clothing you don't mind them getting muddy in with suitable shoes. Please also send your child with a sunhat, suncream and waterproof coat. If you do not have these items, please let us know so we can provide them for your child.

Parents / carers do not need to attend the session, but you will need to sign your child in at the start of the day (9am) and out at the end of the day (3pm). To drop off and pick up your child, please use the Nursery Gate on Hazel Grove where an OASES Officer will meet you.
