FAQs
How have your tours been affected by Covid 19?
We are extremely confident that our tours are one of the safest activities that you can book right now. We're in a very remote location, all of our staff have regular temperature & health checks, the distillery is deep cleaned regularly, and you will not come into close contact with others during your visit.
In order to comply with social distancing rules, we have reduced the capacity from 26 to 20. We have added extra tours to reflect this.
We have also set up hand sanitiser stations and encourage customers to wash their hand regularly.
Due to current regulations, groups must be from the same household. Please do not book with people outside your household. If you have friends booked onto the same tour, then please let us know and we will try to seat you at adjacent tables.
As soon as you arrive, you will be assigned to a 'zone'. The zone you are assigned will be just for those within your social bubble. Therefore, please let us know at the time of booking if you are attending with a group who have booked separately.
Please remember to bring a mask with you as you are required by law to wear one while moving around our premises.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Over 18's only, but challenge 25 is a policy we operate at all times. Please don't be offended if we ask for ID.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Unfortunately no car parking is available for the general public at the distillery itself for the general public. Disabled car parking is available upon request; any special requirements please let us know is advance.Car parking is available on the road at the bottom of the drive. Alternatively, there are multiple car parks located in the forest so pop your walking boots on and gin will be waiting for you when you arrive!
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Any questions don't hesitate to email distillery@forestgin.com or call us on 01260 253245.
What's the refund policy?
Our standard policy is that tickets are none refundable and can not be exchanged for another date. However, if your tour is affected by government guidelines on Covid, then of course, we will happily offer you alternative dates, or a full refund (minus Eventbrite booking fees)
Is it OK if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?Yes, that is fine.
Do you allow dogs and children?
Unfortunately dogs and children are not permitted on the tour. The distillery bar is open to the general public Tuesday though Friday every week 1pm until 5pm. During this time, we do allow children and (dry) dogs.
Where can I go for lunch nearby?
The Stanley Arms is a short walk away and have an excellent, hearty, English pub style menu. Alternatively, the Teggs Nose tea room is a 5 minute drive away.
Can I Buy a Bottle?
Purchases of an extra G&T, a cocktail or a bottle are available from the bar. Most major credit cards accepted.
Can I smoke on site?
Sorry, but as a working distillery, we have a strict no smoking policy anywhere on the premises.
Is the bar open afterwards?
We allow an additional 30 minutes at the end of your tour for any further drinks. If we have another tour booked, then I'm afraid that we will kick you out with the sheep once they arrive!
