Are you interested in incorporating the well-being effects of nature into your own work?

There is extensive research on the well-being effects of nature from around the world, and nowadays also from Finland. Spending just 10 minutes in nature lowers heart rate and reduces the body's stress levels.

The Forest Mind method combines the well-being effects of nature with mental skills and is a method developed in Finland. The Forest Mind Guide course (1 ECTS credit) is intended for program service providers, wilderness guides, coaches, as well as professionals in social services, education, and other fields who want to utilize the Forest Mind method in their work. Forest Mind is also well-suited as a part of various wellness events.

In the training, we focus on providing the background for the exercises, practicing guiding, and finally designing a product seed idea based on each participant's own strengths. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate and qualification to lead 'seed' and 'sapling'-level Forest Mind exercises.

The training also provides readiness to apply for the Metsämieli Instructor Course. This allows you to use the full set of exercises within Forest Mind method.

This is a trial in offering the 'Guide' course as a remote training; all previous trainings have been held in person, so this is a very special offering! The training entry requirements for this course are completion of the Basic Course (either online or through Tariki Trust) or being a Tariki Trust student on ecotherapy. Also, please also make sure that you are able to use Zoom outdoors on your phone and that you have sufficient bandwith to support that all day. It is important that you can both listen and talk to others whilst outdoors on Zoom.
