Join fellow parish and town councils from across the Forest of Dean for a practical, action-focused workshop on preparing for Local Government Reorganisation and devolution.
Hosted jointly by the Forest of Dean District Council and the Gloucestershire Association of Parish & Town Councils (GAPTC), these sessions will:
- Provide feedback from previous events, with key follow up
- Focus on local priorities and shared actions
- Bring councils together to further explore ways to support each other through change
- Identify potential 'local leaders' to champion collaborative projects
- Discuss opportunities for sharing services, pooling resources, and strengthening community resilience
- Provide a space to connect, network and build relationships with neighbouring councils
Whether your council is already leading the way or just starting to explore collaboration, this is your chance to influence the future and work together for the benefit of the Forest of Dean.
These three workshops are geographically situated to assist attendance, the format will be the same at each. You are also welcome to attend online and/or more than one in-person event. A light meal will be served.
