The workshop includes all art materials and top tips to print with lino and natural printing techniques on your own Tote bag and tea towel.

About Catherine Greenwood

Catherine is a local contemporary artist specialising in Printmaking inspired by walking & drawing. She is a member of @wildernessartcollective whose mission is to connect people to nature through art. What your day will look like

Tea and coffee and snacks will be provided on arrival. Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable footwear and outdoor clothing for all weathers.

The morning will be spent gathering inspiration on a walk on the Forest, drawing and foraging fallen foliage. Catherine will demonstrate how to carve a simple Lino print design and print onto textiles.

The afternoon will be spent printing your own Ashdown Forest inspired Tote bag and tea towel to take home.

You will be guided at each step of the way and encouraged to experiment printing with colour composition and texture.

Learn new skills and enjoy some special time on Ashdown Forest with guidance from an experienced environmental artist and printmaker.

Catherine is an experienced art workshop leader and is happy to give any tuition that is needed, she has many years’ experience as an art walk leader on the South Downs and regularly teaches Printmaking in London, Brighton and from her own studio in West Hoathly, Sussex.

Your car parking fee is covered in your booking. Please register your vehicle in the Information Barn at the Forest Centre on arrival.

Unfortunately, the trails of Ashdown Forest are uneven, and steep in places which makes the walk aspect of this workshop unsuitable for wheelchairs. The Forest Centre, and Education Barn where the printing aspect of this workshop will take place is fully accessible.

Cancellation Policy

Failure to provide adequate notice of cancellation (at least 7 days) will mean that we unfortunately cannot guarantee a refund for your ticket. If we cancel the event in short notice due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will be refunded the price of the ticket (excl. Eventbrite's fees).
