About this Event

What's it all about?

Come and join us this March and try your hand at creating your very own forged iron feather hook. Learn all about the centuries old craft of blacksmithing in our traditional forge with our resident blacksmith Darren. You will be guided through the process by Darren who will give support throughout, enabling you to create your very own beautifully crafted iron feather hook by the end of the session. Heat your iron in the flames of the forge, hammer and notch it into shape at the anvil, and etch the pattern using hot-cutting techniques. To finish the piece Darren will bring it to life with a blowtorch to bring out all the beautiful iridescence in the iron. This is a brand new blacksmithing workshop and we anticipate it will be very popular. Spaces are limited to 8 per group so secure your place now. Find out more by scrolling down.
