Forget Me Not Children's Hospice are pleased to announce a brand new event for Autumn 2016.
Join us for a sponsored walk, just over a mile long and suitable for all the family, a perfect first fundraiser for our little supporters. You will wind your way through the enchanted Nature Trail at the National Coal Mining Museum with miners lanterns, fairy lights and a few surprises to illuminate your way.
You can make the event extra special by dedicating and decorating lanterns to carry with you, as the route will lead to the Memorial Garden where you will have the opportunity to place your dedicated Memory Lantern and take some time for reflection and remembrance.
Your registration for the event includes a glow wristband along with a certificate on completion. Food and drink will be available throughout the evening and the event will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.
On the day of the event registration will be open from 4pm, the walk will open at 5pm and you can set off any time up to 6.30pm. It will not be fully dark at 5pm so we suggest the optimal time to set off on the walk is between 6pm and 6.15pm. The fireworks will be approximately 7.30pm.
Tickets will be onsale online until Thursday 27th October at 10pm, after this time tickets will only be available on the door. There is a restricted capacity so we advise booking in advance to avoid dissapointment.
